NEW YORK INTRO CLASS - 6 WEEKS

  • The Intro Class is a 6-week commitment and meets once per week. A major shift in your work takes place during these two months - faster and more tangible than any other acting program. It is designed to very quickly move you from an actor who "acts" into a person who learns how to embody and live feeling truthfully.

NEW YORK ACTING CLASS PROGRAM

  • The on-going New York acting classes focus on our exciting non-method way of working and will get you working the muscle of the moment and help out to stop over-thinking, trust your instincts and do naturally what you always thought acting should be: easy, fun, empowering.

  • Anthony Meindl teaches numerous NY acting classes throughout the year. All on-going students participate. There are also weekend NY intensives and workshops throughout the year which on-going students are welcome to participate at a discounted rate.

AMAW NY ACTING SCHOOL MASTER TEACHER: EMILY FLETCHER



Emily Fletcher is AMAW NY's Master Teacher. She has done five Broadway Shows. Her formative training was at the Royal Shakespeare Co. in London and a BFA from FSU. She is also a certified teacher of Vedic Meditation. Emily believes that you already have everything you need inside of you to bring a role to life.

AMAW MASTER TEACHER JASON BUYER



Jason Buyer began casting films and television in Los Angeles nearly twenty years ago. He was the senior casting coordinator at Warner Bros. Television, the casting associate at Ulrich/Dawson/Kritzer Casting, and the former casting associate at Weber & Associates Casting at MGM, working on and casting dozens of films, pilots, and episodic television shows. Before moving to New York, Jason was the CEO of Marketing The Actor for eight years, making a name for himself with his unique approach to the audition process. Now as the CEO of The Casting Playhouse in New York, Jason is known for his specific audition technique formula featured in his book, Inside The Audition Room. Jason has been the invited keynote speaker at numerous universities, including The Ohio State University, The University of Cincinnati, The University of Georgia, Clemson University, Valparaiso University, etc. Jason is now an adjunct professor for Columbia College, Chicago, running the Semester In LA Acting Program in Los Angeles. Since arriving in New York, Jason has received accolades for both his marketing the actor seminar and audition technique classes at SAG/AFTRA, Weist/Barron Acting Studios, The New School of Drama, and Stonestreet Studios. Jason is thrilled to be a part of Anthony Meindl’s New York staff.
