YOUTH ACTING CLASSES

  • AMAW has taught some of Hollywood’s youngest rising stars and now we’re bringing our revolutionary approach to acting to the London youth. These on-going classes focus on working in the same way as our Adult Acting Program, using appropriate scenes for ages 8-16. See how fun acting should be!

ACTING CLASSES IN LONDON WITH ANTHONY MEINDL

  • Anthony Meindl teaches numerous London acting workshops throughout the year. All on-going students participate. There are also weekend London intensives and workshops throughout the year which on-going students are welcome to participate at a discounted rate. Mitchell Mullen

Mitchell holds an MFA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has been teaching acting since 1996.

AMAW LONDON ACTING SCHOOL TEACHER:
CYNTHIA LEVIN

Cynthia Levin has been teaching, acting and doing stand-up comedy for over 20 years. She has performed at some of the best comedy clubs in the nation as well as having several appearances on National TV. She is very proud to have directed, co-wrote, and developed many of her students in their own solo shows in Los Angeles, New York and Chicago. She made her directorial debut of a full-length play in 2010 with “Playing Jordan Goldman” at Theatre Theater in Los Angeles.

AMAW LONDON ACTING SCHOOL TEACHER:
MARSHALL GRIFFIN

Marshall Griffin is delighted to join the A.M.A.W London coaching staff. He originally trained at the Drama Centre,London on the 3 year acting course winning the Laurence Olivier Bursary in his final year. He has performed in many leading theatre companies including The Royal National Theatre, Shakespeare’s Globe and Frantic Assembly. He was nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role at The Manchester Evening News Awards for his performance as ‘Morville’ in Four Nights in Knaresborough. Marshall continues to work in film,t.v and theatre.

AMAW LONDON ACTING SCHOOL TEACHER:
LUCY RUSSELL

Lucy Russell is British and has been acting for 16 years and her introduction to the weekly AMAW London classes two years ago was a very good day for her. She has a BA from UCL in London in the useful skills of Italian and Business. Recent film credits include Wolf Hall with Mark Rylance, The Syndicate 3 (both BBC), and the German feature Toni Erdmann. Previous film work includes: Grace Elliott in The Lady and the Duke (Eric Rohmer); Nora Howe-Nevinson in Angel (Francois Ozon); Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins & Following; World War Z; The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus.

AMAW LONDON ACTING SCHOOL TEACHER:
HELENE WILSON

Originally from Toronto, Helene – a lifelong Anglophile – has been in London since 1997. Since then, her West End theatre credits include The Seven Year Itch (Queen’s), Wallace Shawn’s Aunt Dan and Lemon (Almeida) and many off West End productions. Her film work includes The Dark Knight (Christopher Nolan) and Hellboy (Guillermo del Toro). Recent television work includes Apocalypse Slough (Sky/NBC), The Other Wife and Relentless. Helene also has over 10 years experience working as a freelance commercial casting assistant. She has been an enthusiastic member of the London Studio since in 2014 and is thrilled to be joining the teaching staff.

AMAW LONDON ACTING SCHOOL TEACHER:
SCOTT WAGSTAFF

Born and raised in the West Midlands, England – Scott is a British actor who started out his career in the all singing, all dancing, all acting life of Musical Theatre, travelling the world with shows on land and sea performing in some of the worlds best theatres starting 10 years ago. Scott had decided to move into the screen world later on about 3 years ago. Since Scott permanently set himself in London he’s produced his own film work as well as auditioning for notable film projects – his most recent film credit is Six Days Directed by award winning Director Toa Fraser (The Deadlands, Dean Spanley) playing a role opposite Abbie Cornish.

Scott also has over 2 years experience as a freelance Casting Assistant in Film/TV/Commercials for a prestigious casting company and has worked with Directors such as Paul Greengrass, Tom Hooper, Peter Cattaneo and Tony Kaye. Scott was so inspired to have found AMAW studios in 2014, has more than loved being a member since and is honoured to be a part of the teaching faculty.

AMAW LONDON ACTING SCHOOL TEACHER:
CHRISTY MEYER

An American actress, Christy Meyer has worked extensively in both the United States and in the UK. Theatre work includes the Royal National Theatre, West End theaters, Park Theatre, The Williamstown Theatre Festival, US regional theatres and many off-Broadway companies in New York.

Recent film and television work includes A Hologram for the King with Tom Hanks (Tom Tykwer), Snowden (Oliver Stone), The Program (Stephen Frears), Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (David Yates) and Episodes.

Christy has taught at the Actor’s Centre in London and is also passionate about writing and performing documentary theatre. She holds an acting degree from Northwestern University in Chicago and is thrilled to be joining the AMAW family as a teacher to help share this empowering work.
