AMAW STUDIO WIDE POLICIES/GUIDELINES:

READ CAREFULLY, AS YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR All POLICIES:

1. All students must read and adhere to the AMAW Code Of Ethics
2. Please give Content Warnings to your classmates before you start your scene. This gives your classmates a chance to leave the class for the scene if there is content they might find disturbing within a scene. Ask you teachers if you are unsure how to do this.
3. Boundaries need to be discussed with your partner before you perform your scene each week. When you are reading your scene with your partner before class, please talk about your boundaries with your partner as boundaries can shift between one class to another. You must be able to tell the teacher what your partner’s boundaries are before the scene begins. Your teachers are going to be talking about this more each class as well.
4. Please come prepared with two scenes printed. We do not have a printer at the studio.

ALL POLICIES FOR AMAW FOUNDATIONS COURSE:

1. Refunds/Credits. Payment is non-refundable. If you have to withdraw and notify the Studio Manager at least 72 hours prior to the start of the course, your payment will be kept on file for a future Foundations date. (All credits expire after one calendar year if not used). No refunds or credits are applied if a student cancels within 72 hours of their Foundation Course’s start date, including after the class begins.
2. There are no make-ups for missed foundation classes. You are allowed to miss 2 of your 6 classes without having to retake the course
3. Observation Class Requirement. Foundation Students must sit in on at least 3 Mastery Classes or Lab Classes during the course of your foundation class. These classes are Monday 5pm, Tuesday 5pm, Wednesday 12pm, Wednesday 6pm, and Thursday 6pm. 
4. Anthony’s books At Left Brain Turn Right and Book The F#cking Job are required reading for homework assigned during the course. Buy them before the first class, they are available on Amazon. 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT ON-GOING CLASSES: 

1. Payment is due before your first class. If payment is not received, you risk losing your spot on the roster if you are not in communication with the office. 
2. Recurring Invoices: On-going class invoices are set up as monthly recurring invoices. These are emailed on the 21st of the month for the next month. A reminder email is sent to active students on (or before) the 15th of the month inquiring about their class attendance the following month. There is a date to respond by if you plan to be out of class for the following month so your invoice can be stopped before it is sent. If you have autopay set up and do not let your Studio Manager know by date given in their email and you are charged for the following month, you will not be refunded. This payment will be saved as a credit for a future class. If you do not want to be on autopay, YOU must click the button OFF before entering your credit card information. AMAW does not have access to Autopay on your Freshbooks account. 
3. If you need to drop out of class after the class has begun, there are no refunds. Credits and partial credits will be decided on a case-by-case basis. If you drop out of class within 72 hours of the start of the first class, you are still responsible for $95 to cover admin and teaching fees. Students must notify the Studio Manager  at least 72 hours prior to the class start date for the month in order to receive a full credit.
4. If you are consistently late to class without communicating with your partner and teacher, leaving early without valid explanation, or constantly on your phone, your placement on the roster will be reevaluated at the end of each month.
5. The cost of class is $270 for On-Going Classes & $350 for Lab Classes. If you wish to add a second on-going class, the cost is $180/month.
6. Our referral program: If you refer a student, once they have finished foundations you will get a one-time $50 credit for your next class. You and the foundation student must communicate this to the Studio Manager for this credit to be applied.
7. Scenes must be read with your partner before class. We are not taking the time to read scenes during class.
8. Please be respectful of other classes. If you are reading a scene with a partner, be mindful of your volume. Do not read scenes in hallways, please go to the street/sidewalk. Do not go overboard banging on doors when knocking, or by slamming our doors. Please do not make loud or unnecessary noise in the hallways. If you damage a space, you are responsible financially for the repair.

Each student has one makeup per month in On-Going classes. Makeups are scheduled via email with the Studio manager. Makeups must be completed within 30 days of missing a class. Students should come prepared with two copies of a scene and plan to stay for the entire class.
