Georgina Symes

Georgina graduated from the Actors Centre in 2000 before being offered an emerging artist residency with Queensland Theatre Company performing in Away, The Importance of Being Earnest, The Female of the Species, Ruby Moon, Beckett x 3. She followed this with the Bell Shakespeare/QTC national tour of The Alchemist. Georgina's other theatre credits include: Still Point Turning: The Catherine McGregor Story ; In a Heartbeat (Sydney Theatre Company); The Heartbreak Choir; Killing Katie:Confessions of a Book Club (Ensemble Theatre) Deathtrap; Every Second (Darlinghurst Theatre); Sunset Strip; Porn.Cake;Crestfall (Griffin Theatre); Arlington (Seymour Centre) ; Gloria (Outhouse Theatre Company) Best Supporting Actress nomination - Sydney Theatre Awards; The Dance of Jeremiah (La Boite Theatre Company). Georgina's Film & TV credits include the AACTA Award winning feature film Babyteeth & independent films: The Tail Job and Bad Behaviour and short films Eaglehawk and Josh. Georgina can be seen in Season 2 of COLIN FROM ACCOUNTS, ABC series Frayed, Wham Bam Thank You Ma’am, The Elegant Gentleman’s Guide to Knife Fighting, Rake and Bananas in Pyjamas (Animated Series). Georgina's debut solo work Uta Uber Kool Ja, had sell out seasons at Fringe Festivals nationally, winning the ABC Best Performance Award (Perth Fringe), the John Chataway Innovation Award (Adelaide Fringe) and the Tour Ready Award (Melbourne Fringe).
