The AMAW Foundations Course is where transformation begins.
This immersive experience introduces actors to the core principles of the Anthony Meindl’s Actor Workshop philosophy — a powerful shift in the way you approach acting, creativity, and connection. In a remarkably short time, actors begin to break free from “performing” and step into truthful, fully lived work rooted in instinct, vulnerability, and feeling.
Each class pairs you face-to-face with another actor, creating a dynamic, supportive environment where real growth happens through connection, spontaneity, and play. Every session includes guided lessons, warm-ups, scene work, and take-home exercises designed to deepen your craft week by week.
This is AMAW’s signature Foundations course — the starting point for every actor worldwide before entering our ongoing Scene Study classes.

I already have acting experience. Do I still take Foundations?
Absolutely. Every actor begins here at AMAW, regardless of experience level.
Do I need any acting experience?
Not at all. Just bring your curiosity, your willingness to play, and the courage to say, “F it!”
How do online classes work?
Classes are live on Zoom, where you’ll work face-to-face with a partner each week. It’s not only deeply connective — it’s also incredible preparation for Zoom auditions and self-tapes.
What happens after Foundations?
After completing Foundations, you’ll be eligible to join our ongoing monthly Scene Study classes at any AMAW studio worldwide.
